Bali Meets Bharat: A Harmonious Home

This 6000 sq ft residence, with 2000 sq ft of terraces, was designed as a seamless fusion of two worlds. Mr. Hegde envisioned a Bali-inspired retreat—serene, grounded, and natural. Mrs. Hegde, an avid art collector, wanted a home rooted in Indian aesthetics, contemporary yet authentic.
At AMA Design Studio, we brought their visions together through an earthy palette of walnut, Burma teak, lime plaster, and clay. Voluminous interiors were balanced with tactile warmth and sculpted ceilings that fostered intimacy. Custom furniture and curated art added personal texture, while the terrace transformed into a tropical sanctuary—complete with antique stone, water features, and lush greenery.
Signature elements like the rattan and teak partition and a skylit indoor-outdoor bar reflect the home’s essence: a blend of calm, culture, and quiet luxury. More than a house, it’s a dialogue between two identities—crafted with care, rooted in emotion.
